Military Goodbyes....

I can't explain why.... but every time I hear the word "deploy" my heart pauses for a second.... add the word "baby" to it, and I'm teary eyed. Then I start to pray. I pray for protection, I pray for strength and I pray that He brings them back safely. Physically and mentally. When I pray for these things I think of everyone and their families... it's like tons of people flash through my mind.

So when Denisse called me and told me her husband would be deploying the next day, I knew I had to change my schedule to capture their moments before he left. See, they had just had their little baby Sophia two weeks earlier....He was fortunate enough to see her born, but won't see her again 'til close to her first birthday. We all know as parents.. your baby transforms soo quickly... Now I truly understand what it means when people say "OMG you are so big!" (ok, so they don't REALLY say O.M.G.. they say O' My Goodness.... lol.) I couldn't imagine what it would be like to miss those precious days of my babies life.

It is always an honor for me to capture those goodbye moments... May God keep you safe until you meet again.
