Ahhh Sweet 16

Christina and I went to Creek Park in La Mirada to get a shot for her Sweet 16 invitations. I really like this park, because it has a variety backgrounds to work with. It has stairs, bridges, rocks, and some cool trees. In these pictures I used all available light, but I wish I would have had my flash for some fill light.

Invitation shoots are great cause they're low key and aren't really stressful. Your shots are great. But Christina feels a little rigid in her poses. Try to get her to tilt her head a little or lean against something. Works great for getting the subject to "look" comfortable and playful.

Oh, and don't worry about the fill flash. Maybe try a reflector if you're need it.. otherwise, keeping things simple usually works out to your advantage.

Will you be shooting her party too?
